CoreOS is a new Linux distribution designed specifically for application containers and running them at scale. This talk will examine all the major components of CoreOS including etcd, rkt, docker, Kubernetes and systemd; and how these components work together to solve the infrastructure problems of today and tomorrow.
The last decade was about virtual machines and the next decade is about containers. Containers enable a service to run on any host at any time. Traditional tools were not designed for this level of application portability. Now is the time to get started with new emerging methods to deploy and manage applications at scale.
