Open source stacks such as GStreamer, ffmpeg and UPipe now implement a large number of different ways to stream audio & video over a network. Just to name a few, there are RTSP, SRT, RIST, WebRTC, HLS, DASH, AES67, SmoothStreaming, RTMP!
