RISC-V support across Linux distributions has significantly improved over the past few years. Thanks to this, developers and users are able to set up Linux environment easily on RISC-V platforms. Major desktop environments (e.g. KDE, Gnome) and applications have gained RISC-V support, enabling users to have a full desktop experience on RISC-V. This talk will give an overview of readiness and future work for RISC-V on Gentoo Linux and other Linux distributions.
