Valgrind is an instrumentation framework with support for a wide range of general-purpose processor architectures. RISC-V is a modern open-standard architecture which has seen increasing adoption lately. The talk describes an effort to add support for this new architecture in Valgrind.
The talk provides a brief overview of the dynamic translation in Valgrind and a short introduction to the RISC-V architecture. It then discusses implementation work to add support for RISC-V in Valgrind, and finally presents the current state of this project and outlines future plans.
