Biography

Bastian Bloessl is a PhD student at the Distributed Embedded Systems Group at the University of Paderborn, where he is working with Software Defined Radios and their applications to vehicular and sensor networks.

Bastian Bloessl is a research assistant at the University of Paderborn, joining the Distributed Embedded Systems Group in 2014. He received his diploma in Computer Science from the University of WΓΌrzburg in 2011. Before going to Paderborn, he was a PhD student at the Computer and Communication Systems Group at the University of Innsbruck. Currently, he is working on software defined radio-based prototypes to assess the performance and robustness of vehicular and sensor networks. In his free time he is playing around with different low-tech communications like RDS/TMC, POCSAG, and ham radio modes.
