Dieser Vortrag wird sich am Beispiel einiger Workflows aus dem Büro- und Verwaltungsalltag damit befassen, was mit ODF und PDF -- inklusive digitaler Signaturen und Verschlüsselung -- heute schon möglich ist.

Auf dem langen Weg von papier- und dateibasierten Arbeitsweisen hin zu digitalen Workflows liefert Freie Software mittlerweile ganz bemerkenswert runde Lösungen. Dieser Vortrag wird sich am Beispiel einiger Workflows aus dem Büro- und Verwaltungsalltag damit befassen, was mit ODF und PDF -- inklusive digitaler Signaturen und Verschlüsselung -- heute schon möglich ist. Themen wie BYOD; kollaboratives, verteiltes Bearbeiten von Dokumenten; sowie On-Premise-Cloud sind weitere Bereiche, die mittels OpenSource-Lösungen darstellbar sind -- hier wird am Beispiel LibreOffice Online und NextCloud gezeigt, dass Freie Software auch mit einer GSuite mithalten kann.

LibreOffice has builtin support for working with encrypted documents since a long time (with some recent improvements adding OpenPGP support). Further support for more fine-grained control of what a user can do with access-restricted documents was though missing. Come and see what recent improvements we implemented for LibreOffice 6.4 and 6.5, to permit fine-grained access controls to individual LibreOffice documents, matching the feature set of MS Rights Management Solution.

This talk will take you through the basics of a11y in a desktop application, using LibreOffice as an example. Starting with basic terminology (mnemonic widget? accessible label?), we'll discover building blocks of a11y in desktop environment, have a look at the sources of most common mistakes developers make when they don't include a11y-awareness into their development process and how to fix them. We'll also show the ways how anyone (even those with little or no knowledge of programming) can contribute to improving a11y ... not only in LibreOffice.
