I am the president of the non-profit cTuning foundation, CTO and co-founder of dividiti, a reproducibility vice-chair for Supercomputing, and a founding member of the ACM taskforce on reproducibility. I develop open-source tools to support open science because I believe in the power of collaborative, systematic and reproducible R&D to solve the World's most challenging problems!
I have an interdisciplinary background in computer engineering, physics and machine learning with a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Edinburgh (2004). I lead the community "Collective Knowledge" initiative to reboot and accelerate open science (particularly related to AI/ML/systems/quantum research) with the help of a common experimental framework connected to a public repository of portable, customizable and reusable research components. The idea is to help researchers automate and crowdsource complex experiments, reuse artifacts from published papers, automatically generate reproducible and interactive, and thus accelerate knowledge discovery.
