Billing system is a key component of every business and having your own, brings numerous advantages in front of competition. In this talk Dan will present a complete set of APIs exposed by CGRateS for building a real-time billing system with both prepaid and postpaid capabilities. CGRateS is a battle-tested Enterprise Billing Suite and Routing System with support for various prepaid and postpaid billing modes.

Diameter and Radius are protocols heavily used by operators in today's communication networks (LTE, WiFi, etc). In this talk Dan will review CGRateS architectural components needed to create a complete and generic Diameter/Radius Authorization and Accounting server solution. CGRateS is a battle-tested Enterprise Billing Suite with support for various prepaid and postpaid billing modes.

Growing your real-time network infrastructure increases the pressure on backend services, especially billing, which becomes in most of the cases the bottleneck of the products offered. In this talk Dan will exemplify various mechanisms and strategies implemented in CGRateS for improving the speed of CDR rating and implicitly offloading the rest of components waiting for billing to occur. CGRateS is a battle-tested Online Charging System with support for Prepaid, Postpaid, Pseudo-prepaid and Rated charging modes.

 Internet Telephony has evolved over the years from simple office PBX to clustered voice services. CGRateS project was born out of today’s market demand for performance and scalability when it comes to Real-Time Charging. 
In this talk Dan will briefly introduce CGRateS’s architectural concepts and advantages of using it for distributed charging, exemplifying use cases for account bundles, fraud detection with automatic mitigation or advanced real-time call statistics with actions triggered on threshold hits.
