After getting interested in graphics technology at a young age by programming shaders in assembly language, Lucas started to look at free software graphics drivers around 2009. Since then he has been closely following the development of the Nouveau driver, gathering a lot of information about the inner workings of graphics devices and the software that drives them.
After contributing some small bits and pieces to Nouveau he got in contact with the free Tegra graphics project and is now spending most of his free time working on either the OpenTegra driver or other Tegra platform related kernel stuff.
He just finished his Bachelor thesis and is now going to work on the Linux Kernel full time, mostly in areas related to embedded systems.
