Biography

I'm a Software Libre developer and advocate turned Libre Hardware Engineer. I started off with reverse-engineering both NT Domains and Exchange 5, kick-starting two major Software Libre Projects into prominence and saving businesses world-wide a fortune in proprietary software license fees as a result. From there I moved into embedded reverse-engineering of HTC WINCE smartphones, putting GNU/Linux embedded distributions onto hand-held smartphones four years before Android existed. I came to the realisation that the only way to ensure GPL and Libre compliance is to actually design and sell the hardware itself, so that's what I'm now doing.
