Laura will discuss the importance of inclusive, accessible and ethical technology, and how we use these approaches to build privacy-respecting technology that people might actually want to use.
Privacy-respecting technology is necessary to give people ownership and control of their own data and lives, but a focus on privacy is not enough. Too often we build privacy-respecting solutions that are only usable by a small group of people who have the time, and existing skills and knowledge required to understand their need for privacy. Laura will discuss the importance of inclusivity and accessibility in rights-respecting technology, and how we use these approaches to build privacy-respecting technology that people might actually want to use.
