Git is a powerful source code management system and became the de facto standard for open source projects over the last couple of years. A lot of us are using it every day but are only scratching the surface of its potential. We will have a look at the git internals to understand why git works the way it does. We will do a deep dive into the git configuration and the .git directory. Starting with the basic features of git we will also explore its power features and some handy tips and tricks.
