Markus Raab uses free software for a long time. Wondering why there is no library which provides a global configuration storage he has joined the Elektra Initiative to fill this gap. He rewrote most of the software and built up a new team. He is currently employed at the TU Wien.
Markus Raab received his Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral degree in Computer Science from the Vienna University of Technology. He also worked as software architect some years in the industry. He left the industry to dedicate his work to configuration research, education, and free software. His current research interests are in the area of configuration specification languages and context-aware applications. He is the lead developer of the Elektra Initiative.
