Usability testing is a technique used to evaluate a product by testing it with representative users. Moderated usability testing provides us with a lot of in-depth qualitative research about our users’ needs. It can help us to uncover usability problems that we weren’t aware of and to generate solutions to solve these problems.
Conducting remote, moderated usability testing needn’t be expensive nor do you have to be a researcher. I’m going to show how you can run your own remote usability studies on your open-source projects with a limited budget.
