Biography

Paris is a core Apache Flink committer and a PhD student in distributed computing at KTH in Sweden. His work lies at the intersection of distributed systems, databases and programming languages.

Paris has worked on programming models and transaction support for distributed dataflow systems, i.e. snapshots for exactly-once processing (ABS - Flink's Checkpointing Algorithm), data stream windowing and task pipelining for distributed analytics. Currently, he is actively working on improving continuous window aggregations and iterative processing while lifting user-facing programming models to more generalised representations.
