Theodore Vasiloudis is a Machine Learning researcher at the Swedish Institute of Computer Science (SICS) and a PhD Candidate at KTH Royal Institute of Technology. His main research interests include large-scale machine learning, graph processing and natural language processing. He is also a contributor to the machine learning library for Apache Flink, FlinkML.
Theodore graduated from the school of Computer Science in the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He continued with a Master's in Machine Learning (ML) at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, during which he performed his thesis at Spotify, working on context-aware recommender systems.
During a 3 month internship at Data Artisans in Berlin he worked on designing and implementing the Machine Learning library for Apache Flink, FlinkML. During the summer of 2016 he worked at Pandora Media as a scientist intern, using survival analysis and random forest methods to model and predict the length of user sessions on the service.
He is currently a researcher at the Swedish Institute of Computer Science (SICS) and a PhD Candidate at KTH. He has been working on data mining techniques and graph processing, and his interests include among others distributed ML systems and algorithms and resource-efficient ML.
