Biography

Manuel Rigger is a PhD student at the Johannes Kepler University (JKU) in Austria working on Sulong, an open source LLVM IR interpreter written in Java. He is interested in language implementation, compilers, and system software. His passion for open source also led him to spend a summer contributing to the open source project elexis-austria, a patient management system for doctors.

For his Master's at JKU, Manuel worked on Truffle/C, a C interpreter written in Java. For finding a suitable project name, he also completed a Master's degree in Chinese Philosophy at Xiamen University.
