Brief introduction to DRLM project, it's features and news in the 2.3.x release and the presentation of the new DRLM version 3 architecture and its development state.

This talk is going to explain our vision on the future of the DRLM project, that will continue evolving in DRLM 2.x while the new DRLMv3 is being developed.

For DRLMv3 we've prepared a complete development environment on Docker to provide an easy and fast way to contribute to the project.

In this session we'll show all interesting new features on DRLMv2, a DRLMv3 preview of what is developed at time of this presentation, and how easy is to have a complete DRLMv3 development environment with a couple of commands.

We don't want to spoil anything, but this talk may be of interest for developers looking for a FLOSS project to contribute to ;).

Disaster Recovery is a commonly ignored topic, only considered when something serious happen. Then, usually, is too late to react efficiently. The consequences? generally money loss and reputation, sometimes is also the beginning of the end for a company.

This short session will show you, how easy is to use ReaR and DRLM, two open source projects that, together, provide a great and flexible solution for Disaster Recovery, system migrations and OS deployments.

The whole session is a live demo, showing how easy is to:

• Install ReaR and all of it's requirements on a system from DRLM.
• Take a DR backup of that system using DRLM.
• Break the system.
• Recover from the disaster using DRLM.

All this in just few minutes!

During the session, conducted by Didac Oliveira, co-founder and maintainer of DRLM project, the attendees will see how easy is to have an open source DR solution for their GNU/Linux systems.

Questions and doubts will be answered during the session and/or at the end of it.

An informal talk with ReaR, DRLM, and Bareos users about what they would like to get implemented in future ReaR, DRLM, and Bareos versions.

This talk happens at the end of the "Backup and Disaster Recovery" devroom time schedule. This way also new ReaR, DRLM, and Bareos users could first get informed about ReaR, DRLM, and Bareos so that afterwards they could better tell about what enhancements or features they would like to have implemented in future versions.
